ACC Mountain WEST

SAFEY MANAGER:

ACC is seeking an experienced construction safety manager with a history in civil infrastructure.  Candidate should have three to five years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be a self leader, communicate well with the field and senior management, have an equal interest in the field work and office work that comes with a management position, and be proactive in all aspects of safety management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following.

  • Assists, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
  • Advises safety director on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.
  • Plans and implements training for employees in work site safety practices.
  • Maintains safety files and records
  • Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Conducts post accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.
  • Assist, set up and conducts training.
  • Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs.
  • Assist and maintain environmental reports including Storm water permits, SPCC etc
  • Prefer experience in OSHA, MSHA, DOT and EPA regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent computer, communication and training skills
  • Prepare relevant safety presentation for Friday meetings.
  • Must be willing to travel – mostly within the state of Colorado.  Quarterly to jobsites out of the state.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have acceptable current drivers license
  • Experience with claims management and insurance company relationships a plus but not required.

CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENTS:
ACC is looking for several experienced construction superintendents to run the day-to-day operations of a civil construction project controlling the schedule, quality and safety.  The best candidate would have a strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, OSHA expectations, the ability to manage and motivate employees and a good work ethic a must.  The candidate must also have a good driving record based on ACC policy.

ACC is seeking landscape laborers and foreman for planting, irrigation, light concrete and seeding/sodding.  Most work is local to Denver.  Minimal experience is necessary however pay is commensurate with experience.

SAFETY & RISK MANAGER:
The primary responsibility of the Safety & Risk Manager includes: developing, implementing, measuring, and maintaining environmental, health and safety programs while providing training, education, and direction. They will also be responsible for measuring, tracking, reporting and communicating metrics related to safety and risk management to ensure effectiveness and alignment with organizational objectives.  Position is located in Birmingham, Alabama.

  • Drive the implementation of the company’s overall safety program and policies
  • Lead in the conducting of incident investigations, documentation, and reporting
  • Ability to plan, design, execute, and facilitate ongoing proactive communication programs, including (but not limited to) tool box talks and lunch-n-learns. • Lead the implementation of all aspects of risk function, including processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage and report risks for each area of the business.
  • Administer and track best practices, implement.
  • Training responsibility for both the Site Safety Professionals, as well as training for supervision and management.
  • Safety team staff planning and management
  • Develop site specific safety plans of work with project management teams.Experience in parts and service is preferred. Ability to work with spreadsheets is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science or related field.
  • 7 + years construction
  • Industry experience – Remediation & Removal / Excavation / Heavy Equipment
  • Preferred candidates will have some experience and/or a current working knowledge of Environmental Risk Management including: emergency response, risk mitigation, contractual risk mitigation, training, initiatives and regulatory compliance.

PARTS RUNNER:
Duties include procuring parts from various vendors all over the southeast and delivering to sites in a timely manner. Must have strong organizational skills, good sense of direction, and maintain a safe work ethic.

  • Requirements for consideration are, valid driver license, clean MVR, lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to think on your own. Self-motivator.
  • You will drive a pickup truck and travel to various locations. Some weekend and overtime available. Occasional overnight trip.

LONG HAUL DRIVER:
The position is: CDL (class A) Long Haul Driver. Requirements for the job include: Over the road experience driving lowboy trailers.

We transport heavy oversized loads; experience with equipment is a must. Candidates must have dependable transportation to get to work, able to work in outside environments, safety oriented, and team player. Overtime is available. Great opportunity.

  • Home at night, occasional overnight, maybe 1-3 nights a month.

ESCORT DRIVERS:
The position operates a pilot vehicle (pick up truck) to escort oversize loads as required by law, pick up and deliver parts and supplies to appropriate locations. The position also assists drivers in loading, securing, and unloading equipment.

Other duties include general grounds maintenance responsibilities, including keeping the yard free of debris, organizing and storing material, and performing general yard/grass maintenance activities Monday thru Friday, occasional overnight travel and overtime.

  • Must have good driver record and minimum 18 yrs. of age. Ability to work with all types of personalities, must be dependable.
