Pittman Wash Channel

Scope of work consists of constructing 1,300lf of storm drain channel improvements. Originally designed as cast-in-place rectangular concrete open channel, this project was redesigned to accommodate a local environmental group named “Project Green”, who wanted a more appealing design to capture the existing landscape in the Pittman Wash. The design was changed to cast-in-place arch channel, so it could be buried to plant native shrubs on the arch. Work also consisted of capturing storm drain nuisance flow to construct a water feature for residents to enjoy. This was done by excavating a 16′ cut-off wall that gathers groundwater and nuisance flow and transfers it via 16′ PVC conduit to a water feature.
