Roadway Rehabilitation
Roads wear down over time just like any other highly used infrastructure. Repair and maintenance of our highway systems is an important part of what we do. At ACC, we’re proud to be a leader in roadway repair and reconstruction. Our work falls into 3 main categories including: road preparation, concrete slab replacement and specialty polyester paving.
Road Preparation - In order to create a strong bond between concrete and paving material, the road's surface must be scarred using a grinding process. ACC has years of experience in the grinding business and can operate day and night to handle any road preparation job.
Concrete Slab Replacement - Sections of concrete roadway will often deteriorate beyond being profiled and must be removed and replaced. Our specially trained crews remove and replace whole panels with quick curing concrete. We handle all aspects of the repair process including traffic control. We are particularly skilled at overnight work allowing the roadway to be back in service prior to morning commuter traffic.
Polyester Paving - ACC is the leading Polyester Concrete Paving Contractor in the United States. Most highways are paved with an asphalt material. Asphalt, although cost effective, wears out relatively quickly requiring ongoing repair and maintenance. Innovation in paving technology has yielded a new type of polyester concrete material that can last up to 30 years without replacement. Although initially more expensive, this innovative new paving mixture has in many areas become the preferred solution for resurfacing bridge deck infrastructure. Due to surface deterioration and environmental conditions, acceptable riding surfaces are difficult to maintain on bridges so protecting the integrity of the existing bridge deck is challenging. The ACC polyester process has proven to be a quality solution for this condition.
